A dream start to 2019
for Glamorgan yesterday and despite losing a little impetus this morning, they
still have a huge total and are batting Northamptonshire completely out of the
game.
You’d get good odds on a fourth centurion now though.
Northants have been much
better with the ball. Despite a very flat pitch and nothing happening in the
air yesterday, there was nothing to stop them bowling at the top of the off
stump and they failed to settle at all and were hit all around Sophia Gardens.
How Glamorgan would now
love to turn the screw with the lower order – Marchant de Lange, a former
javelin thrower, has already hoisted a six towards the River Taff.
